Georgia rescue
May 1st, 2011 at 8:23pm

By now several of you have heard of the horrid incident in Georgia apparently perpetrated by the unscrupulous man who sold me Moonlight.

More than 2 dozen chows were dumped on the side of a highway, where some were struck by cars and killed.  The others were taken into nearby shelters, and the Chow Rescues of Georgia and New York got involved with placing them.  Then authorities discovered the perpetrator and had his license pulled, so he decided he would no longer feed or water the rest of his 100 chows.

Rescue groups are trying to raise money to keep the dogs cared for.  Please visit
http://chowchowrescuecny.chipin.com/georgia-puppy-mill-chow-chows
and volunteer what you can to help Cindy with this overwhelming task she has taken on.

I sincerely hope the mill that closed was indeed the one where Moonlight came from 3 years ago.

Hi Ef,

This is horrible and again, as you see in many cases, poor, poor animals....
I truly hope that the volunteers so active with (Chow) Rescue will find options for a better future for the poor Chow Chows....

It's such a tremendous effort.
We are taking 3 ourselves. Wish we could take more, we are already overloaded just like so many other rescues are. It's truly sad that these large operations are allowed to exist. - but at least these chows are safe!!!! That's the main thing.

OO Ef, what a sad story, I really hope many of them will
find a good home this time.
Nobody should ever buy a dog from a puppymill. As long
as poeple do this, puppymills will exist Cry Cry
Merlin good for you that you are taken in three of the
poor ones.

Greetings from Ted

Here are some puppy pictures.
The chows are doing really well and every one is very very confident that ALL of them will successfully be re-homed.

Our little baby Blue Boy is also from the Georgia rescue.  He is very shy, but he loves Jack!
