From Fur-Baby to Chinese Lion,Gizmo
Jan 19th, 2011 at 9:54am

I'm SO sad to say that Gizmo has crossed the bridge. He was 6 years old.

It was during the night he mysteriously pushed a disc onto his spinal cord.(Probably one of his Chow "zoomies") When I came in from work at 07:00, he was laying outside grinning at me but with nothing happening to his back legs or pelvis.

It was 27 years since I saw my first rough haired black Chow and KNEW that was the dog for me. After Marriage, children & cats, it was my turn to find Gizmo. After a 9 month search I found him and had the too short friendship with him but the bond, the place in my heart will stay till I join him "Over the bridge" Cry

I will never be able to afford another Chow and I will NEVER have any other dog.

God bless you Gizmo for coming into my life  Kiss

OMG what a tragedy!
I feel for you.

Sincere condolences to you and your family.

Please don't say that you'll never be able to afford another chow. There are SO many chows looking for new homes in the UK, you can  choose adoption as a very viable option when you feel ready.

Again, sincere condolences.

My sincere condolences to you, I agree on Merlin I really dont think that you can not afford another dog. For me its just a matter of time for you to find your new four legged friend just take your time to grieve and just move on. You'll never know when and where you''ll see your next pup...Again my deepest condolences to you...Khristiann from the Philippines  Wink

oh, i'm so sorry to hear about your gizmo  Cry Cry Cry  You will be able to be loved by a chow...maybe not now...but you will.  There are lots of chows waiting for a forever home, and you will be the one to pass on the love you gave gizmo.

I am so very sorry for you. Your beloved Gizmo passed
away far to early. Now you need time to mourn. In the
long term the pain is slipping away and maybe you can
love an other Chow again in the future.

Greetings from Ted

I am so sorry to hear about Gizmo!  He was such a charming chow.  I know the pain is deep, but I also know you can find joy again with a chow you can adopt.  I wish you healing.
