The Bahamas Kennel Club

The Bahamas Kennel Club is coming again in March (I know March is a little ways from now, however just like last year that is going to come very quickly).

Last year I entered Krillan and he obtained a Group 1 under Judge Ray Smith (Canada) and his CC (given on the bases of a Judges sole opinion that the dog is "Championship Quality", whether your a lone breed entry or there are a million). The next day he went under Judge Jacqueline Rusby (Canada) and he was awarded Group 2, however we went empty handed with out his CC. So all he needs is one more and he will then be "Bah. Ch." S.B.G.s Hot'N'Spicy.

After the first day of judging I was able to talk to Mr. Smith, and he told me that in his opinion Krillan would have needed a shorter muzzle, more substance, and more coat (however due to our climate he gave Krillan and pardon to the coat). The next day I was unfortunate to have a word with Ms. Rusby, so I have no thoughts on why her decision was to withhold the CC.

Well, in the up and coming year the Club memebers are scheduled to bring Mr. Gerard and Mrs. June Penta (Pennsylvania, U.S.) to preside this years conformation event. They had previously Judge over here before however, don't know when that was, and by the looks and assumption of the pictures, it was a good while back.

I would like to know from the American exhibitors that have went into anyone of their rings, what exactly in your opinion do you think they look for? Also what do you see them regularly put up for the win.

Any and all information would be helpful. Thanks!

Shane
